The Team

Meet Tom

Tom is back from a year-long tour Kabul, Afghanistan and is working hard at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.  He says he enjoys the work and the people but when he gets a few moments to himself he picks up a book or the iPad.

Tom has travelled and lived all over the world and his book tastes are no different.  He’ll pick up anything from an epic to a short story in nearly every genre. If he had to narrow it down he’d likely go with fantasy and historical fiction.

Happily married to the most whimsical, lovely woman you could ever meet (a fellow book addict and Pabkins’ sister).  With twins Mischief and Mayhem they enjoy a good walkabout, good eats, exploring, and asking a million questions.  They are always up for a coffee with good people.

Meet the Pabkins

Pabkins is the newest member of the team but an old-hand at blogging about books in fact, she is the inspiration behind getting her much older bro Tom to do book reviews and launch Motley Chronicles.  When she’s not moonlighting here you’ll see her work on My Shelf Confessions.

Pabkins loves the written word – savors them all but she leans toward the paranormal, horror and thrillers with a nice mix of fantasy and science fiction to boot.  As much as she reads you’d never believe she also works a full-time job and daunting as it might seem, Pabkins always manages to find the time for a great story.    She gets tons of requests but Pabkins is very selective about the books she reviews so only bring your best work.

He picture tells the story; Pabkins feels all books are her books and the glare under her furrowed brow can cut through titanium so take care what sort of bound paper products fall within her gaze…but she’s also creative, crafty and the best little sister on the planet (did we get that right?)

With that said, feel free to browse to your heart’s content…look forward to your comments. Enjoy your time here and feel free to post your thoughts…but please, no spam; it’s great with rice and soy sauce but not really good reading material.

Ah, a dangerous pair of book loving bloggers! Authors beware or rejoice, they can flay or elevate with a word!
